The Dumb Waiter
Presented by Bare Theatre Company
September 21 - 24, 2006
At Common Ground Theatre, Durham NC

Bare Theatre will present Harold Pinter's The Dumb Waiter September 21 - 24, 2006 Thursday through Saturday at 8 pm and Saturday and Sunday at 2 pm at Common Ground Theatre. Directed by Guest Director Christopher Beaulieu, The Dumb Waiter asks what are the consequences of questioning authority? Pinter's dark comedy examines that touchy issue with 2 hit men awaiting their next job under an abandoned café ... or is it? Don't start questioning now or should you?

Bare Theatre Company is a Raleigh based company that made its debut in 2001 with a staged reading of Shakespeare’s Coriolanus and a full production of Much Ado About Nothing. Bare Theatre resurrected in 2005 with a Rogue Company production of Titus Andronicus in July, which was awarded runner-up for the top ten shows in 2005 by the News & Observer and The Classical Voice of North Carolina. The company now embarks on its second full season straying from the works of William Shakespeare with its season opener, The Crucible, and now tackling the slightly different poetic nature of Pinter.

Opening for The Dumb Waiter will be BLuNDeR CoNsTrUcTiON which abounds with fabulous technical juggling, hilarious physical comedy, and enthusiastic audience participation, featuring Brent McCoy whose performance has been called "Amazing!" and "Fabulous!" by audiences old and new.

Tickets are on sale now and are $15 for adults and $7 for students, military, and seniors. For ticket reservations and information please call 919-771-3281. Common Ground Theatre is located at 4815B Hillsborough Road in Durham, NC.
